At Her Home In Burlington, Tuesday Morning After a Long Illness

Tuesday morning at 11:40 o'clock, Mrs. Katherine Huey Riddell, the beloved wife of County Judge N.E. Riddell, passed to the Great Beyond after a long illness. Last fall Judge Riddell took his wife to San Antonio, Texas, hoping the change of climate would improve her health. She remained there until the first of the year and appeared to be benefitted somewhat when she was brought home.

Mrs. Riddell was born near Waterloo, Boone County, Kentucky June 7, 1872. She was the daughter of William Sebern and Monetta V. Huey. On June 6, 1900, she was joined in the holy bonds of wedlock to N.E. Riddell, Rev. James A. Kirtley, an uncle of Mrs. Riddell, officiating. In 1887 she united with the Burlington Baptist Church, and was ever a valued member and earnest worker in the church.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sisters viz: Mrs. George Blythe, of Burlington, and Mrs. Pieper, of Amarillo, Texas.

The funeral will be held at her late home Thursday afternoon, April 2, at 2 o’clock. Rev F.E. Walker pastor of the Burlington Baptist Church, will preach the funeral sermon. Burial in Highland Cemetery.

The many friends of Judge Riddell tender their sincere sympathy in his great bereavement.
