Redwall Series is written by Brian Jacques. Reviewed by Geoff Cochran.
Matthias is a young mouse who has a big imagination. It all starts when Matthias and Constance the badger give the Churchmouse family a ride back home from the Great Feast. When they hear someone coming, they hide. The thing that passes them had only been seen in drawings. It was Cluny the Scourge, the most feared rat in Redwall history. For the peaceful animals of Redwall, this was not good. This edge of your seat cliffhanger is a master of great books. If you like any kind of book with a suspending attitude, Redwall is the book to read. Brian Jacques did a great job writing this series.

Mouse is written by Jeff Stone. Reviewed by Josh Cochran.
This past week I have been reading a book called Mouse, the 6th book in the Five Ancestors Series by Jeff Stone (who I met thanks to going to the Blue Marble Book Store). In the Five Ancestors Series, the main characters (young Kung-Fu masters) take on names of animals that signify their Kung-Fu style. For example: Fu means tiger in Chinese, and Fu uses the tiger style of Kung-Fu. ShaoShu (Mouse) stows away on the enemy’s boat to help his friends Hok (Crane) and Ying (Dragon). Both of ShaoShu’s friends are youn Kung-Fu masters. ShaoShu’s friends’ enemies are the Emperor of China, the General Tonglong (Mantis), and his men, including his bodyguard, Lei. ShaoShu had stolen Tonglong’s telescope when he was unluckily caught by Lei’s cat, Mao. ShaoShu was first a small thief who could squeeze through small spaces and had a knack for stealing stuff. When he tried to steal from two Kung-Fu masters, the world changed for ShaoShu, and he was serving Tonglong, plus caught up in China’s affairs. I hope this will give you a good idea of what Mouse is like.

Dragon is written by Jeff Stone. Reviewed by Josh Cochran.
Before you read Dragon, you should finish Mouse. Otherwise you won’t know what the characters are talking about. Long (Dragon) has become Fight Club Grand Champion, and the number one enemy of the state. The Emperor’s personal bodyguard’s father, the Western Warlord, was killed by Tonglong, and now the Emperor’s personal bodyguard, Xie, is the new Western Warlord. The Eastern Warlord is in Tonglong’s service, and the Emperor is Tonglong’s puppet. Every army except the small Resistance and Xie’s army is in Tonglong’s hands. Long escapes with Xie to meet his brother’s and sister, Hok (Crane), Fu (Tiger, Seh (Snake), and last but not least Malao (Monkey). I hope you like this book because I definitely enjoyed it.
