Boone County

  • The city limits of Hamilton are expanded. Residents are not required to work on the road more than half a mile from the new limit.
  • A slave named Gabrial kills Edwin, another slave. The local paper cautions people against making up their minds immediately, as that would make it impossible to form a jury for the murder trial.
  • Land is purchased from Lewis Conner for $125. The land will become the location for a new school in Florence.
  • An act of the General Assembly provided that the trustees of Burlington shall serve for the term of one year or until succession are elected.
