Built on River Road in the 1860s, the house is one of Boone County's most notable Italianate dwellings.
The house exhibits delicate cornice brackets; paired, arched windows; and an original entry porch with arched spandrels. Although the walls have been faced with vinyl siding, the house retains its overall integrity.
