Oscar Gaines House

The Oscar Gaines House Located on Bullittsville Road near Hebron, the Oscar Gaines House was built circa 1840-1850.

The historic home is a large frame I-house in the Greek Revival Style. The main entrance (and focal point of the facade) is graced by a two-pane transom, flanking sidelights and carved details. At the rear of the main block is an original, two-story ell with shed-roofed addition. The walls have been wrapped in vinyl siding and new window sashes have been installed.

Standing near the house is a gambrel-roof barn of timber-frame construction that is contemporary with the house.
