Roger Clements was born 3 November 1832. He served in the Confederate army during the Civil War. After the war he lived in Union, where he was the postmaster1). He was also the proprietor of a general store, Clements and Connelly Grocers.
Clements was married to Minerva J. Riley (3 Sep 1835-9 Nov 1904). He died on 17 June 1900.
