About the Library

About TAG

Boone County Public Library’s TAG [Teen Advisory Group] was formed in 2005 to provide teens with an opportunity to participate in the decision making process for teen programs and services.

Teens who are involved in TAG take on special projects for the library including organizing the TAG booksale, creating and presenting programs, writing reviews for books, music and dvd’s, and volunteering at library events.

At the monthly meetings, members discuss books they’ve read, evaluate current programs they have attended, review books/cds/movies that the library has purchased, and discuss program ideas for the next Teen newsletter.

There are currently 25-30 active members of TAG.

Anime & Manga Club

The Anime & Manga Club was created in 2008 to assist the Boone County Public Library in improving its collection of Graphic Novels, Manga, and Anime. The club meets once per month at the Main Library and is involved in most Cosplay, Anime & Manga events offered at the library. The Anime & Manga Club is open to all teens between the ages of 14-18.
