Read With a Teen

  • Six Weeks (plus 1 training session)of working with a younger child in Kindergarden-third grade.
  • Training for Teens on Thursday, February 25th 6:00pm-8:00pm
  • Every Thursday starting March 4th thru April 8th from 6:30pm- 8:00pm

March- T-Shirt Design Contest

  • All Designs must be submitted at the March meeting, no late entries.

Booksale at Florence

  • The Booksale will be held at the Florence Branch of the Boone County Public Library on April 9th, 10th, and 11th. 
  • TAG will be responsible for running the Booksale on Saturday the 10th.
  • Staff at the Florence Branch will work the 9th & 11th, though TAG people are still welcome to volunteer on those days.
  • Volunteers will also be needed on Thursday (April 8th) evening for set up and the Monday (April 12th) during the day for break down.
  • We also need volunteers throughout the months prior to the sale to help withdraw books.

 

Elections

  • Katie will remain TAG virtual secretary throughout 2010
  • Will be held April 6th for the position of President and Vice-President.
  • Candidates will need to prepare a 3-5 speech about why they feel they deserve the position.

Descriptions of the two positions are listed below:

  • President
    • The president will show a leadership role in the TAG. The president will need to seek out new members and welcome them, help address concerns of their fellow members, and also be available to speak in front of groups. The president will be the main voice of the TAG to the community.
  • Vice President
    • The vice president will work closely with the president to make sure that every member’s voice is heard. The vice president will coordinate TAG members who are interested in writing reviews for the Teen Scene Newsletter. The vice president will also need to be available to speak in front of groups when needed.

The Early Childhood Fair will be held February 6th, 2010 and volunteers are needed from 9am to 1:30 pm. (lunch provided).
