McConnell Conference 2010– Connecting with Characters Contest
Have you read any of John Green’s books (Paper Towns, An Abundance of Katherines, and Looking for Alaska)?
John green will be a guest speaker at the McConnell Conference, and there will be a contest to win two tickets to the conference and a free dinner.
The contest is for any interested person who has read one of John Green’s book and task would be to write a letter to anyone of his characters explaining an emotional connection the entrant feels with that character.
The Contest Rules
- Must be a character in one of John Green’s novels
- Must be between 500 and 700 words
- Can be typed or handwritten but illegibly handwriting will be disqualified
- Must have entry form attached
- Name must appear on the back of the letter, not the front
- All entries are due to Dawn McMillan (Teen Librarian at the Main Branch) no later than December 1st.

- Must have attended 3 consecutive TAG meetings to attend
- December 4th (Friday)
- Start time-9p.m.
- End time-8a.m.
