Kids can write a letter to Tales, the Library Dragon, and he will answer!

Dear Parents,

We recently found a note in the library from Tales, our library dragon. He has a new mailbox and would love to get letters from his friends! Beginning July 1st, children can come to any Boone County Public Library location and send a letter to Tales. Special Tales stationary will be available, or they can write a letter at home and bring it in. Kids can ask Tales a question, or tell him about a favorite book. He loves to hear about what kids are reading! Please make sure your child’s first and last name are on the letter.

Stop by the front desk at the Walton Branch, Florence Branch or Chapin Memorial Library, or the Children’s Department at the Main Library or the Scheben Branch, to get a Tales mailing stamp. Place the letter in the Tales mailbox and put the flag up! Tales will write back to your child, but please allow two weeks for Tales to answer. Visit the the branch listed on your return address to pick up your mail.

Following is the address for Tales:
Tales the Dragon
The Library
KY 12345

Tales is looking forward to reading the mail from his friends!

  1. Dear Tales,

In our basement we have something called a Hot Water Heater. This confuses me. Why do we need to heat water if it is already hot?
