The Curt Bessette Art Gallery is located on the 1st floor of Main Library at 1786 Burlington Pike. It features work by regional and national artists as well as special, themed exhibits. The Community Art Wall inside the gallery gives local artists a chance to display their work for sale. Exhibits, and the work on the Community Art Wall, rotate every two months. To have your work considered for display, complete the Art Gallery Display Request Form.


About Curt Bessette: "The Artist"


Curt Bessette:
9/12/1959 - 2/21/2017

Curt Bessette was a quiet child who spent many hours drawing and creating art of the people and scenes around him. As time passed his interest in art and talent for various artistic styles only grew until he became known by his peers as the Artist.

Mr. Bessette also served on the Boone County Public Library Board of Trustees from July 2016 to February 2017. Download Mr. Bessette's full bio.

Schedule of Displays

August 19 - September 30. Lasting Impressions: Prints by Kathleen Piercefield

Kathleen Piercefield has worked in the medium of printmaking since 2001, exploring traditional processes such as etching, linoleum block printing, monotype and collagraph.

October 7 - November 22. Nelson Charette: Photography and Digital Art

Nelson Charette is a well-known photographer around the Northern Kentucky area with over 30 years of experience.

December 6 - January 26. Boone County Public Library Staff Art Show

Various art produced by Library staff.
