 Yealey Elementary School opened in 1963 and was dedicated to [[a.m._yealey|Almer Michael Yealey]] (1873-1962),​ long time Boone County teacher and principal. Along with being a teacher, Mr. Yealey liked to write newspaper articles about [[Boone County]] history.
