What is InterLibrary Loan (ILL)?
If we don't own a title and can't purchase it for whatever reason, we will attempt to borrow it from another library system. We call this process InterLibrary Loan.
For items that were published within the past year or are not yet published, please recommend a purchase.

Please note: While BCPL can request items from other library systems, it is the decision of those libraries whether they lend out their materials.
InterLibrary Loan Restrictions
- You must be 18 years old or older to make an InterLibrary Loan request.
- You must be a Boone County resident with a valid Boone County Public Library Adult Card
- OR, you must have a valid Business or Purchased Card.
- By placing a request, you agree that you meet these qualifications.
