Under the general direction of the Executive Director, The Business Services Director is responsible for planning, managing, and directing all business office functions to ensure efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and financial sustainability. This role oversees strategic planning, operational management, and the implementation of business services. The Business Services Director interacts regularly with vendors, staff, and senior leadership and serves as a member of the system’s management team.

Under the general direction of the Branch Manager, the Public Service Associate is responsible for providing library service for programming, reference and general readers’ service to the public. The Public Service Associate interacts extensively with the public and other staff members. This part time (20 hours per week) position will work days, nights and a weekend rotation.

Under the general direction of the Branch Manager, the Public Service Assistant is responsible for specialized tasks related to assisting customers with the use of library materials and services. The Public Service Assistant interacts extensively with the public and with other staff members. This part-time position (16 hours per week) will work Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2pm to 7pm and Thursdays 1pm to 7pm.

The Circulation Assistant interacts extensively with the public and other staff members. This part time position (20 hours per week) will work days, nights and a weekend rotation.

The Public Service Associate interacts extensively with the public and other staff members. This part-time (15-20 hours per week) position will work days, nights and a weekend rotation.

Boone County Public Library is seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude for the position of Outreach Creative Space Associate. Under the general direction of the Outreach Manager, the Creative Space Associate is responsible for providing mobile library technology services to children and adults of all ages. The Creative Space Associate interacts extensively with the public and other staff members. This position will work 40 hours per week which includes days, nights and occasional weekend hours.
